„The chicken wine“
La Vieille Ferme is a French winery that produces wines in the quiet and sunny region of the southern Rhône, and each color is an expression of its terroir: the Ventoux mountain brings elegance and structure to red wine; the altitude of the Luberon brings a gentleness and delicacy to the whites and rosés. This winery is a part of world famous winery of Famille Perrin. In addition to the stellar Châteauneuf du Pape from Château de Beaucastel, the family produces wines under the brands Perrin & Fils and La Vieille Ferme from the Ventoux appellation. To this day, La Vieille Ferme (The Old Farm) wines are considered by many experts to be the best in the price/performance category in France.
And why are they called chicken wines? Because for Americans „La Vieille Ferme“ is too complicate to pronounce it.
